For our honeymoon in October 2024 my husband and I came from the US to do the 4 day / 3 night "wine routes of Galicia" tour and we had the absolute BEST time! For most of the days we traveled around with Juanjo, but one of the days we traveled around with his partner Carmela, and both were so awesome to work with!

Each day we explored different DOs throughout Galicia. We visited 2-3 wineries each day, all ranging from smaller to larger scales. We appreciated the vast variety we were exposed too! All different types of grapes, wine making processes, and more! We got to visit the first winery in Portugal to start producing Alvarinho, and the first winery in Spain to start producing sparkling Albarino. There was definitely a great deal of thought that went into planning all of our stops, as each had some sort of special meaning, historical or otherwise.

Each day they also threw in extra excursions like a boat tour, a hike through an old gold mine, or mountain top lookouts! We loved that there were different things planned to help break up all of the wine tours, and we felt like we got a good insight to what else the region had to offer.

Every winery we visited felt like it was better than the previous! Everyone was so kind and welcoming! We learned SO much! Having Juanjo or Carmela around was so nice to get some extra knowledge about the area, and they helped if there were ever any translating issues from Spanish to English (which didn't happen very often).

It seemed like Juanjo and Carmela had very positive professional relationships with all of the wineries we visited, and we believe that we wouldn't have been able to visit some of them without having someone like Juanjo or Carmela coordinating (like some of the smaller ones for example). A true testament that "going with a local" is always best!

As an added bonus, Juanjo brought his professional camera along on the trip and got some really great candid shots of my husband and I just enjoying ourselves. He sent all of the pictures to us within a few days of the tour ending!

Something else that is so great about this company is that they have the willingness and flexibility to cater the tour to what the customer likes / wants. As an example, I told them how much I loved octopus, so every day they made sure to stop at lunch places known for having great octopus. Or, I had made comments during our trip about wanting to learn a bit more about some of the less popular grapes grown in this region. Because of this, on our last day of the tour Juanjo took us to a specific winery to do exactly that!

They said that when we come back, we could do the tour all over again trying all new places! So it is very clear they are trying to provide the best customer experience possible!

In the beginning getting the trip planned was very easy! Juanjo was super responsive over email and WhatsApp. The payment process was simple and they took care of the rest! They even were kind enough to give us recommendations on things to do and see in other cities we were stopping in after the tour ended.

Overall we could literally not say enough positive things about our experience! We had so much fun and ended up taking home SO many bottles of wine and other goodies! We would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who is a wine lover!!

Thank you so much Juanjo and Carmela for making our honeymoon so special! We will be back!!!

We have been on 2 tours with Juanjo (April and Dec 2018), and they both exceeded expectations. Our April tour was a half day tour in the Rias Baixas area. We visited 3 wineries, had dinner at a furancho, and toured a beautiful beach town. In December, we did 2 full day tours in Salnes and the Ribiera Sacra. This tour was more detailed as we wanted to visit specific wineries. Juanjo made it happen!!! It was a once in a life time visit. Juanjo is a wonderful tour guide, translator, and proud Galician. I learned as much history of the area as I learned about wine. I highly recommend any tour from Juanjo. Also, he knows the places with the best pulpo.
